Based on many years of experience and state-of-the-art technologies, TECHNOLOG develops innovative ship concepts tailored to a wide range of requirements. Our engineers combine the latest scientific knowledge with advanced design and calculation methods, together with a sound understanding of the technically and economically optimal overall concept. At every stage, the focus remains firmly on the client’s objectives: maximum functionality, safety, sustainability, and economic efficiency.
Our design process begins with a systematic assessment of the client’s requirements. Based on these, we analyze the relevant standards and regulations and carry out an initial economic assessment. During the feasibility study or concept phase, the key technical and economic parameters are then defined and progressively refined through an iterative process to develop the optimal ship concept.
On this basis, TECHNOLOG prepares the tender documentation, providing a solid foundation for reliable shipyard quotations. Once the building contract has been concluded, we take responsibility for the Basic Design and prepare all documentation required for class approval. Throughout the process, we maintain close dialogue with the owner, shipyard, and classification society, coordinating the project across all relevant interfaces.
Depending on the scope of the project, our services extend into Detail Design, including technical coordination, detailed engineering, and specification. In this way, a clearly defined requirement becomes a well-conceived, efficient, and future-oriented vessel.
REFITS AND CONVERSIONS

Refits and conversions enable existing vessels to adapt to new requirements and changing operating conditions. Whether entering new trading areas or upgrading onboard systems and equipment, existing vessels are increasingly required to meet new technical and operational demands. At the same time, regulations such as CII and EEXI are setting higher standards for energy efficiency and emissions performance. Growing expectations from customers and consumers are further accelerating the transition towards more sustainable shipping, with increasing attention being paid to emissions across the entire supply chain.

Bulding Supervisions

The TECHNOLOG services team provides professional construction supervision worldwide. We represent our clients throughout every stage of the build – from the first steelcutting to the installation of navigational and scientific equipment.
We monitor and document construction progress at regular intervals, oversee all onboard inspections and acceptance procedures, and provide on-site support during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Harbour Acceptance Tests (HAT), and Sea Acceptance Tests (SAT). Our experience spans a wide range of projects, from small workboats to large container vessels. Our construction supervision goes far beyond conventional quality control: we also ensure that safety, environmental, and technical standards are consistently met and properly documented throughout the construction process.
Upon request, we also take on project coordination between the client and the shipyard. This ensures direct communication, clear responsibilities, and seamless coordination across all interfaces – for an efficient and well-controlled construction phase.

With many years of experience and extensive international project expertise, we support our clients throughout the entire lifecycle of a vessel or maritime facility – from the initial concept and newbuilding through conversions and extensions to decommissioning.

We help define the scope and objectives, assess applicable regulations, and consider technical and infrastructural conditions as well as the intended operating area from the outset.
